Utrecht University has signed a collaboration agreement with the Municipality of Utrecht that provides refugees the opportunity to enrol in university courses free of charge. This joined initiative named “InclUUsion” is a gateway for further education and labour integration in the Dutch society. Additionally, students from the University accompany refugees with buddy programmes ensuring their social network. The university and the municipality state: “We strive for Utrecht as a city for everyone, where status holders and residents live and learn together. InclUUsion lines up with that beautifully”.
