You can also feel free to negotiate what kind of tasks you can help with. It doesn't have to be all that are listed.
That at the moment and due to our financial capacity, we are unable to provide transport reimbursements for those joining our team. Depending on the availability of funds and the nature of the event, we sometimes pre-arrange transport reimbursements with team members to encourage their participation and continued impact in the community. We hope you can join us to achieve more.
We require a letter of recommendation sent directly by the referee, preferably from a (former) employer, to our Country Director. You will be provided with a template to request such letters.
WE AIM TO REPLY CANDIDATES BETWEEN 4-6 WEEKS OF RECEIPT OF APPLICATION. This may vary depending on the time of year. Please know that we appreciate your interest in our work.
UID Donation Volunteer
Every year in the Netherlands, 300 million kilos of clothing are thrown away and burned. That's 12,500 trucks full. That is such a waste. On occasion, Unity In Diversity (UID) receives donations ranging from clothing, books, toys and furniture from those who celebrate the importance of reusing and recycling, and also wish to help those in need. UID then periodically facilitates the distribution of said items to those in the community who may have a need.
We are currently looking for two short term volunteers who can help us sort, repackage and distribute items to people in need.
Are you passionate about teaching English to a diverse group of students?
Are you interested in volunteering a few hours a week?
Then get involved with UID!
We are currently looking for a talented and engaging English teacher.
Assistant Country Director
We are looking for a volunteer to assist the current Country Director (CD), with the possibility of taking over the position at a future time (this is dependent upon the candidate’s availability and performance on the job). You will work closely with the CD to oversee all staff members and their projects and/or assignments. You will oversee and help with recruiting new staff members and be present during (all) interviews with applicants. You will assist the CD to organize staff training and team-building exercises. You will help monitor all projects, receive project reports from project managers, and aid the CD in preparing a final report of UID’s activities and projects for the board on a monthly basis. Volunteering with us will give you an opportunity to utilize your skills to make a difference in communities. It will also aid you in sharpening your skills, learning new ones, and meeting people from different parts of the world.
We are looking for social media and web-savvy volunteers to join our Communication Team. The communications volunteer will assist the Communications Manager with UID’s communications, promotion, branding or marketing. This position will help to gain hands-on experience and training in many aspects of marketing and development, while also gaining a good understanding of a small nonprofit organization.
