She sought her inspiration to serve the refugees from her family history; her family was living as refugees in Laos in the eighties and later moved to United States. As Program Director, Christy oversees day-to-day activity and manages programming for the families and staffs.
She also manages and develops education and culinary programming for asylum seekers and refugees living in Bangkok, Thailand. “Currently, we’re serving about three to four hundred people in our community, with volunteers helping in various capacities. We try to provide an open line of communication at all times, and help give them the tools they need to be successful”-Chisty said in the interview.
