The project Kitchen on the Run is a mobile kitchen container that tours Germany and other countries within Europe bringing together locals and refugees to cook and share their experiences and cultures together. The idea for Kitchen on the Run surfaced in 2012, but was founded in 2015, and joined to the Berlin-based organization Uber den Tellerrand e. V. The tours taken by Kitchen on the Run are strategically chosen so that the areas gone to are common destinations for refugees.
