INTEGRATION CHAT ROOM, SPECIAL EDITION

Let's talk stereotypes! Everyone either consciously or unconsciously stereotype about people, lifestyle, culture, religion and more. During this episode of Integration chat room, we want to give attendees a chance to voice some of their stereotypical outlook to life, or challenge those of others.

It will be an evening characterized by asking and answering questions, exploring some stereotypes, addressing issues connected to stereotypes, sharing experiences good and bad with regards to stereotypes and most importantly, trying out desserts and snacks from all 7 continents of the world as a way of learning about various cultures.

By doing this, we hope to help international, refugee, and local students to be aware of their own stereotypes and its impact in their community, as well as to understand that enjoying the beauties of diversity can help to minimize negative effects of stereotypes.
