Title: #GIRLSONFIRE: THE COOKING SCHOOL OFFERING REFUGEES A SECOND CHANCE

Type: Project (Ongoing)

Location: Melbourne, Australia

Name of Responsible Persons: Loretta Bolotin and Daniel

Source: delicious.com

Date: September 24, 2017

The interview at delicious.com features Loretta and Daniel, the couple who formed the enterprise “Free to Feed” – which seeks to minimize barriers and promote socio-cultural integration of the refugee community in Australia through food and stories.

Free to Feed runs mobile cooking classes, events and dinners, where the refugee chefs teach how to cook traditional dishes from their countries of origin and share their personal stories. The venture has enabled refugees to form friendships with the locals, with whom they bond over sharing food and story.
